Process of Joining The UPPC

The application requirements for connection within The United Progressive Pentecostal Church shall be the following:
- A definite call to the ministry.
- Certificate Of Ministry-Call to Serve in Local Church Ministry as evidenced by the endorsement of another.
- Ordination in Ministry- Commitment to one or more of the Five-fold Ministries
It is our strong belief that one who is called to ministry must be spiritually, biblically and theologically prepared. Here are our suggested preparation options for all clergy seeking covenant within the UPPC:
- GED, Associates, Bachelors, Masters, Ph.D. degrees
- Training in a Bible College, School of Ministry, accredited Seminary, correspondence courses, religious or theological courses taken at the University level etc., or equivalent personal study and ministry experience.
- If formal training or equivalent personal study and ministry experience is not evident, a general UPPC Bible and Ministry Exam is required.
After satisfying one or more of the previous options, the application form must be filled out, completed and returned with the following items:
- $100.00 application fee; this includes the annual $50.00 credential fee for the first year (the annual $50.00 credential fee is refundable in the unlikely event of denial)
- 2 recommendation letters; A person who has known you well for at least 3 years (a Minister, friend, employer, etc.), other than family member. Recommendations must be turned in to UPPC directly by person completing the form.
- Signed commitment on the Application to walk in agreement with UPPC Leadership, Pillars of Faith, Biblical standards for personal life and ministry, prayer and financial support, and participation in UPPC meetings and special events.
Upon receipt of your information, the applicant will receive a confirmation email from our offices and UPPC representative for the following final items to occur.
- The Director of Recruitment will contact applicant.
- Official interviews and visits from UPPC representative will be scheduled.
- UPPC Apostolic Council will review, process and make official decision
- Official induction during Holy Convocation
