The Apostolic Council is the supreme advisory “court” and council of The United Progressive Pentecostal Church Fellowship, Inc. (UPPC). As the final authority of ecclesiastical and constitutional doctrine, it is responsible for providing spiritual support and balance for the Chief Apostle as he spiritually leads the UPPC. At the discretion of the Chief Apostle, the Apostolic Council is also the final appellate forum of the UPPC for disputes, except in cases that have been appealed to the Chief Apostle and Senior Bishop for executive clemency (i.e. Pastoral and Bishops removals and Church disorganization).
The Apostolic Council is comprised of highly selected members from Episcopal, Ministerial categories of the church. Each member is selectively appointed by the Chief Apostle; he or she must be an active and supportive member of The United Progressive Pentecostal Church and be in good standing. Because their duties require them to function as “judges” it is imperative that each possess mature judgment, proven ability, integrity and a thorough knowledge of The United Progressive Pentecostal Church constitution and doctrine.
The Apostolic Council of The United Progressive Pentecostal Church, Inc (UPPC) is responsible for advising the Chief Apostle for developing and establishing spiritual direction for the overall organization. The Apostolic Council shall convene every December for spiritual reflection, insight and planning; also shall meet three additional times a year for official meetings in the months of February, May and at the time the Chief Apostle deems it necessary. Apostolic Council members are to be generally recognized for their evangelical, spiritual and organizational leadership.
