In the UPPC, young adults are technically those people between the ages of 18 and 30. They can be female, male, a student, a professional, single, married, a parent, still living with a parent, Generation X or a Millennial, a seminarian, an ordained minister, someone who hasn't set foot in a church since high school and anything in between. For the UPPC "Young Adult" encompasses a group that is diverse and dynamic. This webpage is a ministry resource for these young adults, those who minister with them, and all those seeking a better understanding of the needs of young adults and their many roles within the Church.
The Office of Young Adult Ministry works with people from the ages of 18-30. The website is designed to provide information about events, opportunites for young adults to discern where God is calling them, and resources for people who work with young adults. This office recognizes we work with a very diverse age range who can be at very different points in their lives. Nevertheless, we seek to incorporate all into the body of Christ and recognize we all have gifts for ministry.
Additionally, concerns for social justice issues in the world that effect yong adults with a young adult perspective, highlighting key issues, sharing opportunities to take action, linking to great justice- and action- oriented websites and more.
